When does Big Brother 2013 start
No summer would be complete without a very random bunch of people being shut away in the Big Brother house.
And free run 2 we may be lacking sunny weather rather than we would like for June, b free run 2 ut one summer box is about to be ticked with the start of Big Brother 2013.
A staple on our screens since 2000, the 14th series of Big Brother is set to introduce us to a whole new cast of housemates we’d like to have as our best friends, kiss or use as a punch bag.
There have been some changes in the presenting line up too.
So when does it start? And where can we watch it? Read on for all you need to know.
That’s back too straight after the launch show each night for another hour of Big Brother chatting. Which means we get to spy on those awkward moments as the new housemates get to know each other.
Who is presenting it this year?
Former winner Brian Dowling took over from Davina McCall in 2011 now Emma Willis has been promoted from being the Bit on the Side co host to hostess with the mostess for the who shebang. She’s doing Big Brother AND Bit on the Side, so she’s in for a busy summer. She’ll be joined on Bit on the Side by Celebrity Big Brother winner Rylan Clark and and AJ Odudu, who will host the four shows Emma doesn’t take charge of.
Yes! Channel 5 got a lot of criticism from BB fans when they did away with the live feed. They haven’t brought it back entirely, but there will be live coverage for two hours every day, apart from Sunday when it’s just one hour, which will be shown on 5, available on Freeview. Plus there will be half an hour on Channel 5 after Big Brother’s Bit on the Side to free run 2 spy on the new housemates that little bit longer.
What is the show’s theme this year?
The producers have gone for a self sufficiency theme, giving the house an eco style makeover. Could the chickens be making free run 2 a comeback? But there is also a Secrets and Lies tagline.
We won’t find that out until the launch day. One rumour doing the rounds is that a pair of male twins are set to enter the house
on Thursday and they may not be the only related housemates to enter this series. Big Brother shows in other countries have previously featured a ‘swap’ twist, seeing one twin enter the house on launch night and the other swap places in secret throughout the show’s run. That would fit into the Secrets and Lies theme and we saw how much fun Jedward were in the house for Celebrity Big Brother.
